America’s Economic Decline

92 Million Americans are not working. This has nothing to do with having a Black President. It is all about having a president that is incompetent. If this president really believes people don’t like him because he is black, he is mistaken. Americans were proud of the fact that we have moved to a place where the color of a person’s skin has become irrelevant. As Americans we celebrate Martin Luther King today as a testament to his dedication to equal rights not equal outcomes. I just wish the president felt as most of us do toward the American Dream.

This president has very few life skills beyond being a good political campaigner. I would even suggest that he is not really a great campaigner as much as he is the beneficiary of a protective media complex. His campaign mis-steps have been guarded or ignored by the media and if his campaign was given as much scrutiny as the latest Chris Christie “scandal”, he would have lost both campaigns. He would have lost to Hillary in the Democratic Primary, and his re-election campaign.

But I want to talk about the economy or the lack of one. If these statistics continue on this path much longer it will be unsustainable for the working Americans to pay all the bills of the non-working Americans. Some Americans have been taught to be lazy, but most Americans want to work. They have just been fooled to think that the government has a role in creating jobs. The only role government has is to stay out of the way of private business and industry. I guess you could call that a “role” but it is really best for all of us that government bureaucrats be put out of business.

It is amazing that under such suppression of the private sector American business still has the capacity to trudge on. It is a testament to the resilience of the free market capitalist system we have. Even through years of demonization and attempts to kill it off with regulation, the free market finds ways to create wealth for Americans. But it may become even too much for the free markets if this administration is allowed to continue its assaults on this economy.

We are in decline as every economic number suggests. The only exception is the stock market which is flush with money looking for a place to get a return on investment. Once the stock market sees what the 92 million people out of work see then all bets are off.

We will rebound if we do three simple things; elect conservatives in November, repeal Obamacare, and pass a federal budget that cuts funding to at least 30% of all of the bureaucrats in Washington DC. If we do that the decline will become a boom. Guaranteed!

What is Obama’s Business Record?

A new ad is about to be released of a failed steel mill in Kansas MO that Bain Capital took over in 1993. Bain tried to turn it around and after 8 years of effort the steel company went bankrupt. First of all, companies go bankrupt in a free market economy. Second, the fact that people lost jobs is something we need more of in the federal sector. If the department of energy has failed in its mission to make us energy independent then the federal bureaucrats need to lose their jobs just like the people in the steel mill did.

The circumstances around the steel mill need to be vetted to determine if the unions had anything to do with the failure. Was the factory outdated and being beaten in the market by new plants and technology? What were some of the financial legacy costs? These are a few of the business questions that need to be addressed. I would like to hear the President’s assessment of the failure?

That brings me to the main point: What is the president’s experience in the private/business sector? Based on his record so far he has shown no propensity for understanding basic business fundamentals. He is strictly a political animal. He has never held what most Americans would consider a real job. So when he criticizes Mitt Romney and his extensive business experience I think he needs to give us his recommendation for what he would have done beside go into debt and print more money.

This is an easy argument for Mitt if he plays offense. My answer to this would be simply; in the private sector sometimes businesses fail even with the best of efforts. I would like to hear the president’s ideas for helping businesses to succeed so we can start creating jobs again in this country. So far the president and his party have failed to even provide the most basic framework, a budget, to assess how to improve the climate for business to start thriving again. He has not even a basic understanding of how to assess and implement the most basic reforms for improvement.

This president is a failure with no hope of ever grasping the issues necessary to turn around our private economy…

You Can Sense it, Something is Not Right…

We are in for a rude awakening. You can feel it coming just like in the movies where things seem to be heading out of control right before a crisis. The country is going bankrupt and John McCain is calling for us to support “rebels” in Syria with more bombs and devastation. Our involvement will only come back to bite us and a question for John McCain; how are you going to pay for it? We are tapped out. It is time to leave the Muslims in the Middle East to sort out their own problems. That is why energy policy is so important.

The price of gas is skyrocketing and what is the response of this President? “I wish they were not so high…” Hmmm that makes me feel confident he is on the job. Instead of worrying about what political commentators are saying about political activists, maybe the President should reconsider the Keystone Pipeline and open all federal lands to drilling. That would be a start. These gas prices are a not so hidden tax on the economy that goes straight to the Muslims in Iran, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia who would love nothing more than our death and downfall.

The media is not covering any of the important issues with any zeal whatsoever. Unemployment is not going down, people searching for work is. We are seeing our country resetting expectations to the lowest common denominator under this president. He is spreading the misery instead of spreading opportunity. By continuing to punish wealth creators he is destroying the opportunities of the middle class. He has implemented policies that are drowning innovation and business startups. Regulations are strangling us to economic death. Just try opening up a lemonade stand or a taxi business and you will see what I mean.

Healthcare is dying. Religious liberty is under attack. Private insurance and hospitals will be converted to government bureaucracies if Obama is re-elected. And for all of you socialists it will not be for the better. Death Panels, benefit panels, and cost panels will begin to deny care, drugs, and new technologies at a breakneck speed if Obama is re-elected. We will be Europe or South America before the end of a second term. We are talking about paying for other people’s birth control when it is already “free” at any Planned Parenthood facility underwritten by our taxes. Why are we even discussing it? Because this President’s record on everything is dismal, and if people pay attention to his record, his re-election will be impossible. That is the reason behind the new mantra “War Against Women” the Republicans are supposedly engaged in. They are not. Their “war” is to unseat Obama.

Occupy “whatever” is planning chaotic demonstrations to defeat capitalism. The golden goose, capitalism, if defeated will mean the end of prosperity and America. These people are a minority but are receiving coverage that makes them seem like a majority. The good news is that gun sales have soared through the roof so I think many Americans are getting into the “Make my day” mode getting ready for these radicals. And that is what I mean by a “feeling”.

I heard a guy on the radio last night frustrated with all of this hypocrisy and double standards being practiced by the media and he was on the edge. I could feel for him and I have to say that the fuse is short for many hard working, law abiding, tax paying citizens that have had enough. We have been playing by the “rules” but it seems the rules have changed. It could get ugly soon and it will be interesting to see how many people are ready to defend their country and constitution. Like I said there is something in the air and it doesn’t feel right…

A Failure to Educate…

What we are seeing with the “Occupy Wall Street” crowd is the result of a failure to educate our citizens properly at the elementary and high school levels. It is embarrassing to listen to these protesters who have little clue about capitalism or the reason they exist in this world.

One of the protesters was asked if you want to change the capitalist system, what would you like to replace it with? The blank stare said it all. The student had no idea what the alternative should be and I would guess didn’t even understand how capitalism actually works.

This country is the greatest economic and moral engine of the world. It is the greatest economic engine because we have a capitalist system. We are a beacon for the world because our moral foundation is based on Judeo Christian values. We have a constitution that limits the federal government from infringing on both of these attributes but the current administration along with previous administrations have ignored these limits therefore giving us the malaise we are currently in.

We spend too much time teaching about recycling, diversity, and political correctness and not enough time on the American history, economics, the constitution, and American values.  We need our kids to be taking a full four years of American history, the constitution, and the capitalist system of economics in High School. Too many schools can’t even teach kids to read by the time they graduate High School. Colleges are now forced to have remedial programs in order to accept certain students.

The United States has been the means of good in the world because we have values and an economic system that enables us the free time to worry about others. Our religious institutions are an engine of compassion. To protest against the foundation of our success is ignorance.

What these Occupy Wall Street people need to realize is the reason they are unemployed is the fact that the capitalist system is being undermined by an out of control government. They should be in Washington DC not Wall Street or Main Street. It is not Wall Street “fat cats” that are the problem. It is politicians and business executives that are stealing tax payer dollars and conducting “crony capitalism” that should be the target of the protest. The problem resides in DC. If these people had the proper education they would be in the Tea Party.

Success begins with education and there are many schools that do an OK job. But the public system needs to be completely overhauled and handed back to communities to control. The federal government has been destroying the family, the economy, and personal accountability for long enough. We need to take back the education system because that is the root of the problem.

Ignorance is not bliss when it comes to the history and future of our country…

The Financial Sky is Falling…

Just like Chicken Little, the political class, bankers and investors are warning that fiscal responsibility will destroy our economy and send us into political chaos. We can’t maintain the borrowing ceiling or the government will default on our debt these people warn. We will have to bail out the municipal and state bond holders or the result will be a downgrade of the “full faith and credit of the United States” shout the Chicken Little’s to the uninformed minions.

The reality is there are many avenues to fend off bankruptsy beside more borrowing and spending. The simple fact is that the representatives of this country have chosen to expand government beyond sustainability. The solution is to cut the federal, state and local budgets to the level tax payers are willing to support.

Federal state and local municipalities need to end all union membership. Civil service is already protected by law and does not need a third party to represent them. The unions are simply a political tool used to increase taxes and spending to fund the employees in the government and their union coffers. The pensions and healthcare benefits need to be indexed to the private sector. The pay of beauracrats need to be tied to private sector wages and the police and fire fighters need to be scaled to a schedule similar to the federal wage system and the expectation of wage growth needs to be known so anyone entering these professions understand there is ultimately a cap on wages when a certain level is reached.

Every federal agency needs to be targeted for cuts of 40% over the next 5 years. The military and VA should be excluded but still need reform. We need to help the VA reflect the true values of our nation. It is one of the few constitutional responsibilities of the federal government, and we have failed miserably in our treatment of Veterans.

We give away our tax dollars to foreign nations, we encourage dependence, we subsidize failing and politically connected corporations, and pour billions into a failed education bureaucracy which all need to be slashed. There is so much waste fraud and abuse at the federal level and 40% may not be enough but it’s a start.

Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid all need to be reformed. We need to start with the SS accounts being out of bounds for our politicians. We need to transition the money leaving our pay checks and place them in accounts with our names on them. A percentage of the SS tax will need to support current retirees but each year more and more will go into our own accounts and the ponzi scheme will become history. Medicare needs to be market driven just like the rest of our healthcare needs a market based overhaul. Medicaid needs a complete overhaul and transitioned into a charitably supported non profit model.

By focusing and eliminating the waste, fraud, and abuse, the benefits that go to non citizens, foreign countries, and bloated corporations we can bring our financial house in order. By reducing government on all levels with clearly defined plans the market can plan for and understand, they will react to and reward this move to fiscal responsibility. The Chicken Little’s are the people making money off of our government tax dollars. Many of these Chicken Little’s reside and hide under a guise of free market private sector organizations but they have been siphoning off the treasure of the United States by electing officials and garnering political favor. They are the big corporations that have made bad choices and must be allowed to fail.

If the market and the people see a true move toward fiscal responsibility and constitutional government the sky will not fall, it will shine bright with hope. Hope that we have finally turned a corner to return the opportunity to all Americans to achieve the American Dream…. On their own without government interference…

America Deserves Better…

I am tired of being embarrassed by an incompetent president and administration. The G-20 summit highlighted the lack of respect other nations have toward us because they don’t have any confidence in America’s future based on the policies of this president.

We need to realize we have incompetence at the helm. It is important that our congressional leadership start to pass legislation that will at least send a message to the world that we are going to fix the fundamental flawed policies that this administration has put in motion. This will help reset the stage that America is poised for a comeback in 2012 with the right leader.
We need to ignore the latest commission reports on how to reduce deficits and go back to the only document we need to return to prosperity; our Constitution. We have unconstitutional programs that need to be eliminated and we need tax reductions at the federal level. We do not have a revenue problem; we have too many government programs that produce a spending problem. We need to put the economy back into the hands of the private sector. It will result in a return to constitutional government and a healthy return to market principles. The critics that continually malign the private wealth creators need to look at the massive corruption of government first, and when they have a solution for that, only then can we even entertain ideas that put faith in bureaucrats.

America is the best in the world because our constitution recognizes individuals and the private sector as the driving force of innovation and economic growth. This administration and its policies are stifling our growth with government largesse, and the federal government is permeating the economic landscape in even the most local decisions in our nation. There is already a lot of whining going on about government program cuts that have not even taken place yet. But we have a choice; rely on what has always made us great or watch a painful demise of the greatest nation to have ever been known to mankind. The people and corporations currently at the troth are going to have to survive without the help of the taxpayers. It is time to put taxpayers first and return faith in a private sector economy.

The Tea Party is going to hold the new representatives feet to the fire and we must be strong willed. We will hear the sob stories about the pain and suffering inflicted by the new “Draconian” cuts. The pain will be short lived in comparison to the permanent damage to our economy if nothing is done. People that want a socialist form of government have many options in Europe. The world doesn’t need another nation of ingrates and lay-abouts. We need to remain a beacon to people that actually want to work and take risks. That is what we are about.

Get ready and get involved even if getting involved is simply staying informed of what is really happening. The media will distort the truth because they will feel cornered as their power is stripped from them by reducing the good old boy club in Washington DC. The media is an ally to our demise and you will need to dig deeper into the issues and not rely on headlines.

We can be great again and we will be. But we must elect the people America deserves; constitutional protectors cut from the cloth of our founding fathers…

Socializing Your 401-K…

As if the healthcare takeover isn’t enough for this administration, they have plans for everything from Cap & Trade (stop energy production) to Eminent Domain takeovers in our state (stop energy production), to the takeover of your 401-K account. That’s right, the hard earned money you have accumulated through sacrifice and hard work is the next target for this group. How else do you think they are going to fend off bankruptcy? The idea was floated back in 2008 but it is again under assault.

As you watch this administration bully through healthcare, they will use the same techniques to bully representatives to socialize your 401-K. What does “socializing” your 401-K mean? It means taking your private account that is in your name in a private fund and putting it in the Social Security “trust” fund. The key word is trust. There is no “Trust Fund” and you can’t trust the government to do the right thing with your money.

There are trillions of dollars in the market that is made up of your 401-K savings. Are you willing to give that money to the federal government? If you don’t vote for the right people in 2010 you may not have a choice.

As Governor I will fight for our constitutional rights and fight to limit the federal ability to socialize your 401-K. Is there any other candidate talking about this issue? Why not? Because too many polticians and state level legislators have given up the fight against our federal government. I believe the fight has only just begun…

All Jobs are Green…

This administrations obsession with creating “green jobs” is a testament to their lack of understanding true human nature. All people care about, is that the job they have at the end of the pay period, pays them in “green” dollars. And the more of them the better!

When people are out of work they could care less about the types of jobs being created. They just want an opportunity to work. And if the job is a “green” job so be it. But if the focus is on just “creating” “green jobs” and that focus is actually killing jobs, then people will tell you to stick your green job policy right where the sun don’t shine.

This is what happens when you get government bureaucrats and leftist supporters together to talk about jobs. They don’t have the first clue about what a real job is or how it is created. And to compound the problem, they have left out two organizations that represent real job creators.

The Chamber of Commerce and the International Association of Independent Businesses, two of the largest organizations that represent business were shunned from the “job creation” summit at the White House yesterday. Why were they shunned? Because they both support free markets and are skeptical about government intrusion in the private sector.

So who was talking about creating jobs with a focus of “green jobs” if the people that actually create most of them were not represented? The attendees included union organizations, government bureaucrats, and liberal CEO’s of large corporations.

It is interesting that jobs keep vanishing but it is not surprising when 92% of this administration comes from the government sector and academia. Two “industries” that wouldn’t know how to create a job unless they were given the taxpayer’s money to “create” one.

As Governor of Colorado, I will, with the legislature and citizen’s help reduce the federal government’s scope and get them out of the way of free markets and freedom. The best idea they could come up with at this summit would be to cut the federal bureaucracy by 50%, reduce taxes to a flat rate of 18%, and stop the healthcare fiasco that will destroy all jobs including those coveted “green Jobs”.

We need to stop allowing the feds to steal our future. Get involved so we can create millions of jobs in every sector including the “green" sector…

Remedial Economics and Government …

The government is funded by taking money from productive taxpayers. The more money productive people make the more money the government has to operate. If the people that create tax law knew anything about economics they would use the same model business people use to create revenue for their businesses.

Instead we have politicians that are economically ignorant and continue to target “rich” people and small business owners to fund their largesse. It is a formula that is unsustainable. There comes a point and we are there right now, that people that are productive choose to stop making more money. They reduce productivity because the tax policies make it uninviting to increase revenue.

Here is a simple example. If my taxes are currently 36% of income, and I make $150,000, and if I choose to work harder, and the government decides at $200,000 I am “rich”, and they are going to tax me 60%, why would I work harder for less money? What I do is stop at $199,999 and go on vacation. This is just a simple example to make a point but the reality is the federal government is creating an environment that is encouraging business to stop producing wealth.

If politicians really wanted to increase tax receipts to the government coffers they would only have to follow a few basic principles, and they would achieve not only additional tax revenue but actually mend the economy. By simply reducing tax rates to encourage business to make more money they will improve revenue and the economy. By simply implementing a flat tax as a percentage of income they would improve tax revenue and the economy. Reducing the federal debt by simply putting a freeze on government spending, would increase confidence in the markets and improve the economy.

But this will never happen because it is not about improving anyone’s lives in this government except their own. The people in government today are the greediest, most selfish individuals the world has ever known. They are power hungry and dangerous. They are the greatest enemy to the poor even though they claim to be trying to help them. They are a disgrace to this country and themselves. There isn’t an ounce of good in any of them. Seems harsh but if there was any good in them they would be arguing for adherence to our constitution.

Redistribution of wealth only ends wealth. It does not help anyone, it hurts the most vulnerable. Socialism is immoral because it steals the labor and property from one and gives it to others. More importantly it destroys the reason for people to be productive. Socialism goes against the basic tenants of human nature. And this is what the current administration and politicians are pursuing while breaking the laws of our constitution.

Our economy will only improve when we remember the simple principle our founders penned in our founding documents; limited government, liberty, and a moral foundation. Right now we have a overreaching out of control central government, we are losing our freedom with every bill that is passed by these power hungry politicians, and we have allowed for an assault on our founding faith while we tolerate and celebrate a religion that is trying to dominate the world and take us back to the Stone Age.

Everything is out of control because they have drifted from our guiding principles. They are digging a deeper hole, they are putting good money after bad, and they are destroying this nation while we wonder; what we can do about it? What can you do? Get involved, get worked up, get active and think about what our founders did. Did they sit by and allow their colonies to be destroyed by an out of control central government? The lessons of history are clear. It is time to get back to our roots.

The recipe is simple, get informed and take back your government. We have ignored it for too long. They work for us; we need to fire them…

Federal Job Summit?

President Obama has just announced a “Job Summit” this December to address the continued bleeding of private sector jobs. Don’t get me wrong, talking about the job losses is fine, but we have been shedding millions of jobs since we passed the federal “stimulus” bill, that promised to “save” or create three million new jobs. Who is buying this garbage? We can talk until we are blue in the face but the answer sits right in front of us.

If the federal government wants to help the private sector to create jobs all they need to do is stop stealing the capital needed to grow business. Every dollar in taxes that is taken from both individuals and businesses is one less dollar to invest in the private sector. Not to get complicated but when a private individual invests a dollar back into the economy, a dollars worth of capital is created in industries that people are freely willing to invest in. When the federal government takes our tax dollars and says it’s going to “invest” in industries they think should be propped up (usually politically connected businesses) they destroy the value of that dollar by paying unneeded bureaucrats and throwing money down the drain of businesses that the private sector has already punished for being inefficient. That is why they are begging for the bailouts.

Small business people need confidence, capital, free market competition, and reasonable rules to get back on track. The healthcare bill, cap and trade, and a number of the bills being discussed will continue to reduce free market capitalism, therefore reducing or limiting job growth. The federal “job summit” should be focused on one theme; reducing government “help”. Because as our great president Ronald Reagan told us; “nine of the scariest words in the English language are: I’m with the government and I’m here to help.” He also added; “The best minds are not in government. If any were, business would hire them away.” The point being, government is not about business, government should be focused on learning the constitution and applying it. That would be nice.

So if you are waiting for a job to result from this summit; please don’t. Support campaigns like mine that will focus on reducing government “help” and focusing on the constitution and applying it in government. Let’s come together and have business do what it does best and the only way they can do that is to apply the government limitations that are found in the U.S. Constitution…

Make my “pay”!

I know when many hear this news; “government reduces pay of corporate executives” they silently say hoorah. If you are one of these people you need to have an intervention with yourself. If you believe someone is overpaid and the government should reduce that pay the next question is; if the government thinks you make too much (even if you are making $50,000 a year) and cuts your pay to 35K, how will you feel? If you believe this can’t happen to you, you’re not only wrong; you’re next.

As the federal government continues to inject itself into the private sector (unconstitutionally I might add), they will set pay grades; guaranteed. They have already set pay grades for Doctors that accept government insurance, car executives, finance executives, and you are next. If it is good for some, why not for all? And while the government is at it, they will also try to apply price controls. If you are too young to remember, it was a disaster under President Nixon. You see the government is in the business of “fairness”, and the lowest common denominator. They don’t raise the bar, they lower it. And in turn we end up with a misery index and if you remember the Carter years, there was exactly that; a Misery Index. Is that where we want to go again?

So as you think about these executives and the pay decreases being mandated by the government, you need to think hard and beyond the emotional feeling of “they make so much anyway, they deserve a pay cut.” Because there will always be someone that makes more than you. The great thing about America is that everyone has the same opportunity to make a million bucks a year (for now). You should be working harder on how you can make a million than supporting government bureaucrats that create only misery. Those people that make millions also have created millions of jobs and opportunities and what is that worth?

We can all be miserable together or we can all strive to be the best with the incentive of a better pay day. I say instead of cutting other people’s pay we should focus on how we make our own pay!

Working for a Living…

There is nothing more satisfying than working for a living. The ability to work enables us to take care of our families, invest in our family’s future, take a vacation, and enjoy the opportunities in life. I suggest that every politician in office today should try it. I think too many in political life have forgotten what it feels like to earn an honest paycheck. They claim they are working for the people but what they are actually doing is making it difficult for people to work.

Government regulations, confiscatory tax policy, and a movement to “re-distribute the wealth” of hard working Americans under the guise of “fairness”, is suppressing America’s ability to work. The politicians creating current policy, including the president, have forgotten what work is. Work is created by a need in the market. For example, people need to eat; therefore we need farmers, truckers to get food to market, and grocery stores. People need transportation so car companies manufacture vehicles for people to buy. These are simple examples but it seems this lesson has been lost in today’s political class that think they can create jobs by borrowing boat loads of money and handing it out to who they believe deserve it.

The argument the politicians used to add $700 billion in debt to our children’s tab was to “stimulate shovel ready projects.” If the shovel ready projects were truly needed they would have already been in progress. The government believes that they can create need better than the free market. That is ignorance. The best example happens to be in the state of Michigan. The government spent billions in a “bailout” of GM and jobs and dealerships continue to vanish. In contrast, the state put a tax cut incentive (they reduced taxes to work in Michigan) in place to attract the Hollywood movie industry. The result was an increase of Hollywood “work” in Michigan that went from $2 million in 2007 to $125 million in “work” in 2008. So instead of government making “work”, they got out of the way and reduced the cost of creating work by lowering taxes and regulation and the result? Lots of jobs and lots of work in the film industry and the car companies that are being targeted by politicians; job losses and dealership closings.
Which policy do you think is working better?

Anyone that works for a living understands this concept. If our politicians actually worked for a living they would know this instinctually. Instead they continue to try to create work by borrowing and printing more money to give to “shovel ready projects” and industries they think will generate jobs. They need to leave that to the people that actually work for a living.

That means reducing government intervention and giving more incentives to me and you…

It’s a Reflection of Our Education System…

This administration and their inability to understand simple math, basic human behaviors, and our history is the reason our nation is sinking into the current economic abyss. They are the product of a failed education policy that is run by government bureaucracy. The quality of public education and its focus on everything except what is important to the health of our nation has come home to roost.

Obama and his team may be educated but they are far from smart. We have been teaching community without a firm understanding of the importance of the individual. We have been teaching animal rights when we have not been teaching constitutional rights. We have been teaching economics without connecting it to the human behaviors that incentivize and stop economic transactions.

We have filled our schools with teachers that have only their educational experience to pass on and very little real life experience. The educational “diversity” is nil to none and it shows. The key to our future is education and controlling the curriculum. We have allowed people like the current administration too much control over our future and now we see how important that piece of the culture is.

It is time for some adult and analytical conversation in this country. Stop spending money we don’t have; cut the taxes on the engine of our freedom and economy (business and personal taxes), and return the power back to where it belongs in the states and the people. Finally we must take back education and control the curriculum to align with the American value system…

Government “Stimulus” depresses the economy…

The Obama administration is touting that their economic “stimulus” is on track to accomplish what it set out to do; spend money. The problem is and the reason unemployment remains high is because the government is not stimulating the job creation, they are giving money to people and state governments that are transferring it to individuals that are trying to stay afloat.

If you want to stimulate the business community, the engine of the economy, you have to do something for them. They don’t want money they want clear policy and a reduction of costs to hire, produce, and expand their business. How do you do that? Make it cheaper to do business. The US is the second most costly place to do business in the world. That is the problem.

All the government would have to do is cut employment taxes, capital gains taxes, and reduce the top marginal tax rate to 30% and maintain it for five years. That would be a start and that would be a stimulus. Instead they are doling out money to things that have nothing to do with job creation and are just putting us into more debt.

Taking money from the “rich” (people who risk, and create jobs; small business) does exactly the opposite than the goal of stimulating the economy. The two questions you have to ask are; is it because they don’t know what they’re doing they are leaving out the tax cut option or is it because this is exactly what they want to do to this country?

I think it is the later…

This Headline Says it All…

“We Have to Spend Money to Keep From Going Bankrupt”. Can you believe this? This is our Vice President speaking to members of AARP, the association that represents the elderly but unfortunately could care less about their member’s grandchildren.

Tell me this; if you borrowed money to pay your bills every week because you borrowed too much to begin with, is it better to stop spending and pay off the bills or continue to spend money? Do you buy another house and car when you can’t even pay for the house and car you own? As a family the decision is made for you because no one will lend you money if you can’t afford to pay it back. Why does this administration and politicians in general think borrowing and spending beyond our means is good for anyone?

We are in big trouble here folks. We need to all pay attention. We are losing our country to a bunch of imbeciles and ingrates…

Liberty or Tyranny?

I have included a few of the headlines in today’s news to point out the efficiency of government intrusion into our lives. The use of our tax dollars has become more and more unconstitutional every day and must be stopped. And these headlines are only a miniscule representation of what is happening to our country right in front of our eyes.

We are under assault by the current crop of politicians. It is no more apparent than the cap and trade “debate” that is currently making its way through the house. It is treason pure and simple. It is a policy based on scientific lies about the impact of carbon dioxide on our environment. The “carbon footprint” garbage that is being promoted is deceptive and is supporting a platform that is encouraging citizens to support policies that will destroy America’s competitiveness and economy. It is an assault on freedom and any politician that mumbles their support should be voted out of office.

We need to educate ourselves on the real impact of CO2. You will learn quickly how much of a lie this global warming, carbon foot print, cap and trade garbage truly is. It must be stopped the same way an enemy that landed on our shores with the intent to overthrow our government would be. These politicians are trying to overthrow our freedom with lies, lies, and more lies.

We must take back our government from this administration and we must educate everyone we talk to about the devastation being thrust upon us under the guise of the saving the environment with the intent to ruin this nation. We are all environmentalists but the environmental movement is an attempt to ruin this nation. They say they want renewable green and clean energy but every time a permit is pulled to stand up a wind farm it is protested by the same people talking green. They don’t want green energy supplies, they want to end energy consumption. They want to take us back to the stone ages and a “simpler" life. That is not freedom; that is tyranny. Learn about the issues and fight back…

Obama Demolishing the American Dream…

Flint Michigan is one of the poorest cities in America, and Obama wants to demolish what is left of the neighborhoods and homes in this once great city. The proposal in Flint and now being considered by the Obama administration is to destroy the abandoned homes in all of the cities that have them. No one wants abandoned homes in their neighborhood but what this represents is a total failure of the American education and welfare systems in America.

If you look at where these neighborhoods reside and who makes up the people that live there it is apparent that government and the education systems run by government have failed; miserably. Our poorest communities have been promised by the Obama’s of the world that their trust of government would be rewarded with a better life. What the government has actually done is criminal. The government has failed to educate these communities and has created a dependence on welfare that has stolen and now has “demolished” literally the American Dream for these people.

This is what we need to consider as we see Obama’s socialist government trying to run our financial institutions, car companies, and healthcare. Government is a complete failure and has stolen the dreams of generations of Americans that have been fooled into believing their empty promises. The government has a proven track record that is an undisputed failure. Will we learn from their record or will we be fooled into more promises of a better tomorrow?

Ask yourself; are you willing to allow this government to demolish our healthcare, finances, and car companies just like they have demolished the inner cities of America?

What Happened to Energy Policy?

It wasn’t that long ago there was a movement to create an energy policy that was based on a comprehensive policy of domestic oil drilling, coal, nuclear, wind, and solar but what happened to the urgency? As usual politicians that have no business savvy or understanding of how the economy works have ignored it; again.

The result is another year wasted with no sound policy. And where is the price of oil heading, to $3.00 a gallon and up. Why? Because the control of supply is out of our hands and in the hands of enemy dictators and other countries to control.

When are we going to have the sense to hold these politicians accountable? Energy prices are about to sky rocket and we have a government taking over car companies; illegally I might add. The TARP money that was approved by congress has become a blank check for the Executive branch and that is unconstitutional. All spending must be approved by congress not as a blank check but with specific intentions attached to the money. If not the President becomes a benevolent dictator with the ability to spend like a drunken sailor on his best buddies. And what is he doing? Spending money like a drunken sailor on his political buddies.

If we were spending the last year building a refinery or two along with a couple of offshore oil platforms we would not be seeing this spike in oil prices. The Saudis and others would be scared to death that we would stop using their oil, and instead use our own supply and what would they have? Nothing. Take away oil production from the Middle East and what do they have to survive on? Nothing.

So as this administration acts like a child with ADD, the price of oil will rise to cripple our economy even further. The people will scream and the politicians will pretend to get angry and ultimately will use the crisis to take more freedom from us. It is really plain to see if you just take a moment to look…

They Fawn as we Fail…

The press is acting as if we are living in a banana republic and we have a benevolent dictator as our leader. Unfortunately that sentence seems to be gaining some credibility mostly because we have a press and an electorate that is paying too little attention to what is really happening to this great nation.

While the press is covering “date night”, North Korea, Iran, and Venezuela are all moving forward with nukes that threaten our allies and our existence but please tell me about Michelle’s black cocktail dress and the eco friendly Leer Jet.

The government is trampling the US Constitution by taking over private institutions with our tax dollars but please tell me more about the “eco friendly” restaurant (whatever that means) and the wine and martini’s they were drinking.

As the president jet sets around the country millions of people are watching their budgets because they have either lost a job or are about to lose it. I don’t care if he wants to take his wife out but he is no different from any other citizen and I would appreciate a little respect of the money he spends in these difficult economic times.

As the president waves to adoring crowds we have a Supreme Court nominee that has the most racist view of America and she is being hailed by the press for her “inspiring” story. Inspiring? Maybe if you are not on her target list of people that need to be discounted because they are white and male.

As the president stops traffic on the West Side highway in NY inconveniencing an entire city on a Saturday night, other businesses were losing customers due to the arrogance of this man and his need for adulation from crowds. Shame on New Yorker’s for acting like they were teenage girls at a Hollywood opening.

By all means let’s just not have the real debate on policy, spending, debt, and constitutional law breaking. Let’s just watch this adolescent we have in the White House ruin our country right under our noses. Shame on the press and shame on us…
