The End of Wall Street is the End of America…

I’m sorry if I offend you but you are economically illiterate if you think reforming “Wall Street” is the answer to our economic woes. Reforming government regulation is the answer to our economic woes. I cringe when I read people writing about “corporate greed” and how we need to tax them to make them “pay” for the services these selfish left leaning Americans seek.

Last night the president was on American Idol promoting “giving back” which if done by private charity is a worthy cause. But if we continue to demonize and destroy “Wall Street”, as he and his supporters keep doing, we will destroy America and the ability of individual Americans to give anything to charity. The countries we help now will no longer be the beneficiary of our wealth because our wealth will have been stolen by this president and congress.

The left and our president have no concept of the capitalist system and believe that somewhere there is a “Golden Goose”, but I have news for them, there is no other golden goose. The reason there are corporations that don’t pay taxes is because politicians have created the environment and rules that encourage tax avoidance. Government regulations are the rules that create the culture of corruption. Politicians are the “brokers” that business leaders must pay to get exceptions to punitive rules. If the rules were the same for every business and politicians were not involved in the process, business would never need Washington lobbyists or pay off politicians who are continually changing the rules business must follow to be successful.

And the reason there is poverty in this country is not because of the jobs being created by these corporations in this country, it is the government programs that poor Americans are shackled into because they have put their faith in political promises.

There is no reason in America that someone who seeks a better life can’t achieve one. A better life in America depends on a thriving “Wall Street” and is dead in the water if we have a “thriving federal government” and punitive tax policy. The left needs to get their head out of the government troth and start thinking logically not emotionally.

The left hates America and wealth, but without wealth and “Wall Street” we will see the end of America and the American Dream… Maybe that’s what they really want…

Buy a Ford; For Now…

I listened to the President this morning, and I was dismayed by his remarks how in normal circumstances he believed chapter 11 bankruptcy was the right course of action, but these times are different. I disagree; in a market based economy all circumstances are normal.

Running a viable business is difficult at best but these car makers were on a path of self destruction long before any financial “crisis” became clear. They are running unsustainable labor and production costs compared to their competitors here in the US. Toyota, Honda, KIA all have factories here in the US. Volks Wagon is building a plant in Chattanooga TN, and these companies have been watching the markets carefully and adjusting accordingly.

For example, Toyota shut down their plants for 7 weeks during the summer to offset overproduction. Employees did not receive 95% of their wages and benefits, they had to make due or take unemployment insurance which is about 30% of their regular wage. And have you noticed any whining coming from the car companies or their employees in the Southern US? That’s why companies are moving there; a productive and grateful labor force.

There is one depressing news conference after another coming out of Washington. These politicians are clearly incompetent to do the right thing so the best course is to reduce their role and get out of the way of the markets. Just say no; like Ford has; for now…

The 10th Amendment needs to be exercised to fix this mess…

Here we go again with the “save the day” political programs that are going to expand our problems not fix them. We have crooks at the top of the corporate ladder, and in the capitol building in Washington DC. We have a failure in leadership in this country. We have a bunch of absolute misfits running our country and economy. And it all comes from a lack of inner constitution, and ignoring the US Constitution. We need our governors to take back control of the state assets and dictate to Washington what we will do with them. The tenth amendment is a large part of the answer here. We need to challenge this entire federal invasion into our lives, economy, and future. They are changing us from a republic to a centralized dictatorship.

Wall Street has turned into a Las Vegas casino, and the government has become a three ring circus! This is serious business, and we need the good citizens of this country to take it back! We don’t need more government meddling, we need to enforce the laws and regulations that are being broken by executives and representatives. The President has the fox watching the hen house at most of our agencies. We need to reduce these agencies and their influence. The government is not stabilizing our economy; they are bringing it to the brink of disaster. Where are our governors? Standing by and watching instead of fighting against this takeover of our rights.

We need to reform congress by instilling term limits in the long term, at the same time voting them out now! We need to be involved here folks. This is OUR country, money, and future. Do not trust it to these people. Send people to Washington that want to send control back to the states on issues like education, energy, and social services. Washington needs to focus on closing our borders, enforcing and protecting American security and commerce around the globe, and managing the federal monetary system; effectively. The feds need to stop worrying about what we eat, drink, recycle, and do in our schools, and get back to the few things they are supposed to do.

Obama will take advantage of this crisis to implement more government programs and power. He will continue to dissolve our republic into a centralized model of some kind. He is totally ignorant of free markets and free thought. McCain has a great story but he has zero economic understanding. But at least he will be less intrusive into the market economy.

The real fight here is in the congress. Vote for people that support prosecuting criminals not cultivating them. Vote for tenth amendment supporters. Vote for representatives that will reduce government intervention not people that want more of this incompetency. Vote for a real citizen legislature not a career politician. Vote these bums out! If this doesn’t persuade you just take a look at your 401K; enough said!

We Must Protect Our American Culture…

Or we will end up with more of this: “Nancy Pelosi Forces Salvation Army to Hire People That Can’t Speak English.”

This is nuts and is getting ugly. We are being “Balkanized” by the diversity activists in our own country. Diversity for the sake of diversity is dangerous and corrosive to our county’s future. The less we have in common, the more we will see this type of conflict rear its ugly head in every institution in this country. The EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission another useless bureaucracy) is forcing employers to hire people that don’t speak English. You laugh, and it would be funny if it wasn’t true, but it is.

It almost came to fist to cuffs on the House floor between Steny Hoyer and the leader of the Hispanic caucus, Joe Baca. Something as simple as making sure business will not be sued for requiring such a basic skill as speaking English has become a flash point for the bigger issue; English as our national language. It is time to pass a simple law that states; “all government communication will be spoken, written, and printed in English; there will be no requirement of any representative of the government to hire, speak, or print any other language than English; English is the national language of the United States of America”. How refreshing.

This doesn’t mean you can’t speak another language, actually I believe we should teach multiple languages in school, but when it comes to official government business or practical business practices, forcing other languages to be recognized is expensive and divisive. It undermines our American Culture and common method of communication. To say this is not bigotry, it is compassionate. If you can’t speak English you will always be “second” class in this country. You will not get ahead or be able to realize the American dream.

So it is time to say NO to this lunacy. We must fight back now before we find our American Culture so dismantled we don’t recognize it anymore. When we walk into a business in America we expect the people to speak English. If they don’t we take our business elsewhere. What next; suing people for not shopping at a business that has non- English speaking employees? You laugh but just wait if we allow this to continue.

For the sake of our future and the legal immigrants of our country, let’s stop the madness now. Vote out these lunatics and support term limits. Just a thought…

Get ready for a bigger mess in the skies…

The government is about to embark on reducing congestion in the skies in an effort to reduce flight delays this holiday season. The new regulations to improve efficiency include:

1. Legislation to limit storms and weather conditions in the areas where airports reside. Similar to a “Drug Free Zone” around schools, it will be a “Weather Free Zone” around airports.

2. All planes that currently must follow air traffic controller’s directions will be lifted. This will allow pilots to speed up and decide when they think it is safe to land and take off.

3. Planes will be asked to “partner” during take offs and landings. Landing and taking off one by one causes delays. Planes will be asked to pick a partner and land and take off two by two.

4. Regulations that require two pilots on commercial flights will be lifted to allow one pilot to command the plane. This will increase the number of pilots eligible to fly and will help with regulation 3. The retirement age will be lifted to the age of 90.

5. An “Airport Optional” program will be implemented immediately. At a pilots discretion, and if they can get the passengers to agree on the place, pilots will be cleared to land in corn fields, parking lots, and highways with less than 100 cars within visual range. This will improve access to the ground and reduce bottle necks at our limited airport infrastructure.

6. Finally, Airlines willing to invest in parachutes for their customers will be allowed to push people out of the plane at designated “Parachute Airports”. Airlines are not required to inform their passengers of this option but the government strongly suggests that they do.

The thought that this is even a task the government should be involved in is ludicrous. It is the equivalent of trying to fix the traffic problem at the George Washington Bridge in NY, Sagamore Bridge Cape Cod Massachusetts, and the highway system at any major city in the country, by passing a few laws.

The airlines need help but it will take a major restructuring of Air Traffic Control, the building and expansion of our Airport infrastructure, and a government willing to stay the heck out of the arena of private business. Just a thought…
