UN Targeting Your Gun?

As the summer rolls along and people try the best they can to enjoy activities like camping, boating, and barbeques, bureaucrats at the UN and our State Department are considering a Treaty that is targeted to limit your guns. That’s right; our Constitution is under attack again by a foreign enemy with the help of this administration.

The UN has no jurisdiction in this country and you would think that any meddling in our internal sovereign affairs would generate outrage. But this is being done like everything else this administration does, with sleight of hand distractions. These people know our eyes glaze over when policy matters and foreign treaties are the subject, so they are counting on your inability to focus on the intent or outcome of this dangerous treaty.

Buy more guns and ammunition should be the response to this initiative to disarm Americans. There is one reason and one reason only that America will always be able to defend herself even if this administration tries to underfund our military and that is an armed citizenry. Think about a foreign government trying to overtake America? What do you think the biggest concern is? Armed Americans ready to blow the head off of any enemy stupid enough to place their boots on our God given rights and soil.

The treaty states that only governments can be gun owners and the NRA is on the case. Treaties must be ratified by two thirds of the senate so I expect pressure will be placed on these senators not to sign. I would hope that any American representative would be smart enough to not support this but I can’t be that confident with the infiltration that has happened in our elected bodies.

That is why this election is so important on so many levels. There are too many enemies within our own ranks and they must be purged this November. So as you enjoy your summer activities just make a mental note that this November we must defeat the enemies within and elect patriotic Americans that support our constitutional rights including the right to bear arms…

Tragedy and Disappointment…

Our hearts go out to all of the victims in Arizona. It was a horrific tragedy for the families that ended up victimized by a deranged individual. This individual was telegraphing his mental instability to all those that knew him and of him. He was a deranged individual period.

The disappointment with this event is the way some are trying to assault our First Amendment rights by leveraging this tragedy. The First Amendment was enshrined in the Constitution specifically to guard against the conversation taking place in the media today. Too many are talking about the political dialogue taking place in or country is somehow responsible for this deranged individual’s act of terror.

Any individual that has studied our history understands the political rhetoric in this country has always been heated and passionate. Our founders knew the government’s propensity to try to stop the people from speaking out against their government, and incidents like the one in Arizona are exactly why we need the First Amendment. Without it our politicians would have already passed a law restricting your speech. The political debate is so heated and passionate because politicians, government officials, and the media have stopped listening to the people. The people in the government are bankrupting our country and it is every citizen’s duty to speak out against the outrages of this government. We lose our freedom when we stop speaking out against the corruption that permeates today’s politicians and administration. It does not mean that because we speak out we are fueling some kind of violence. People that are violent will find any excuse to act out. To blame political rhetoric is an act against our constitutional principles.

The First and Second Amendments will come under assault in the coming days and weeks. The left and some of the Republicans are going to try to make people feel uncomfortable speaking out against government. They will say the level of rhetoric is “vitriolic”. Don’t fall for it. This is the same group that has allowed television to become the perverted arena it is today. They use the First Amendment to protect pornography, foul language, and terrorists that want to kill us. But now all of a sudden it is the people speaking out against the government is a danger we can no longer accept. These people are transparent and enemies of the republic. That’s right, I said enemy of the republic. Is that “hate” speech?

If you have the opportunity to talk to someone that supports modifying free speech, ask them to be specific. Ask them; which words are off limits; what context can we use certain words; who will decide what words are considered inflammatory; what will be the consequences of speaking out against our government? Get specific and watch them squirm. Just keep asking questions about what, who and how they intend to monitor free speech?

When they attack the Second Amendment ask how people will protect themselves against the deranged individuals that never let the law get in their way when it comes to getting guns. Guns allow law abiding citizens to protect themselves from criminals, and as the founders feared from the power of an out of control government.

This is a constitutional battle that is taking place as a result of this tragedy. The families of this tragedy deserve our prayers and support. The effort to chill free speech deserves our full attention and we must fight back and stand tall because we know our rhetoric is needed to protect against a tyrannical government and politicians that are positioning to steal our free speech…

Words Mean Things…

The process of writing our constitution was painstakingly debated because words mean things. When you choose words it is important they reflect the meaning you intend so it is no wonder there is a concerted effort underfoot to change the meaning of words and history by the enemies of our constitution, and it is happening every day, every chance they get.

Take for instance the president and secretary of state discussing our right to “freedom of worship” as opposed to right to “the free exercise of religion” as stated in the constitution. At first glance they may seem similar but freedom to worship is not the same as freedom of religion. There are many religions that define the terms of how they worship therefore free to practice their religion. Freedom to worship is not religion specific and taken to the next step could be defined by the government since it is not tied to religion. For some this may seem trivial but for thinking individuals it is the difference between protecting their religion and losing their religion.

Words and phrases slightly altered can be the difference of a free people and a people governed through tyranny. The first amendment states:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

The choice of the words our founders used is clear to the intent of this amendment. But these words have been turned upside down to argue that no religious mention can happen in a public building. You tell me where those words are found in this amendment?

The second amendment states:

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

One of the most challenged amendments of the first ten clearly stated protects the individual right to keep and bear Arms. It is often argued that this right is tied to being in a militia which its opponents equate to the military. But the definition of militia, is not the military. In the context of the day, a “militia” was every “ordinary citizen’s” responsibility to protect the state. It was independent of an organized military as we have today. So when it is stated a well regulated “militia”, they are not talking about the military, they are talking about “ordinary citizens”. To make it even clearer they added, “the right of the people…” It was as if they could see into the future.

In order to challenge this amendment its opponents have resorted to distorting the meanings of the words and phrases as well as ignored the context of the time.

Words make up the foundation of our constitution and were chosen with particular care. We can’t ignore the meaning of words, or when they are tied to other words and phrases, and we can’t ignore the context and meaning of words at the time they were written.

That is why the enemies of our constitution are always trying to breathe “life” into the document, arguing it is living. It is why the constitution’s enemies are always trying to evolve the meanings of words to meet their goals to undermine constitutional law, and it is why we need to remember; words mean things, and to never forget the context they were written in so we can protect the constitution…

Our freedom and future depend on our understanding of history…

Nukes and Guns…

Peace through strength was a policy Ronald Reagan pursued that not only made policy sense; it made sense of human nature. What leftists fail to understand consistently is human nature. Leftists like Obama believe words and intentions are more powerful than they are when it comes to national security, defense, and fighting crime.

If you disarm all of the peaceful law abiding nations, the only nations left with nuclear weapons will be, Iran, North Korea, China, Russia, Venezuela, Syria, and all of the rogue/totalitarian nations of the world. Anyone that believes that any of these nations are going to stop developing nukes is dreaming. Obama is seen as so naïve and weak, none of the above nations will disarm. They have watched our interaction with Iran and our policy is clear; we have no backbone to hold nations accountable.

As we watch our inner cities and border towns become war zones, if you take the guns away from the law abiding citizens, the only people left with guns are the criminals, gangs, and cop killers. It is that simple. Human nature will never change no matter how many liberal left policies are spewed from this administration. That is why we are so divided, because the people that understand human nature know criminals respect guns and self defense, not gun laws. It is as basic as the bully on the playground.

Weakness breeds bad behavior, and disarming our nation, whether it is nukes or guns are policies that will create chaos in the world and our neighborhoods. We would all like to sing kumbaya and wish for peace and goodness in the world, but the reality is that is a Hollywood narrative that rarely works in the real world. Real criminals and real evil understands one policy; peace through strength. Ronald Reagan knew that instinctually, Barak Obama is making a grave mistake…

Gun Rights are not different…

The second amendment is just as important and holds the same stature as the first through tenth amendments. I might even argue more so but they are all important. Listening to a representative this morning from the Brady organization on Fox News, he stated that the second amendment was different and needed to be treated so. He cited statistics like; people that live in households with guns are 5 times more likely to have a gun incident than families with no guns in the house, 3 times more likely to commit suicide by a gun than houses without a gun. All irrelevant to the argument of gun rights.

It is like saying people that drive a car to work are 5 times more likely to have a car accident than people that take the bus to work. Let’s take away the cars? It is irrelevant and takes the focus off the real issue. Guns are our last line of defense to an out of control government. It is the safety valve when the political class decides we the people are no longer going to tell them what to do.

The second amendment was and is as relevant today to keep our government in check as it was at our founding. As long as politicians are facing an armed citizenry they will continue to walk carefully around our rights. Once they have taken away our guns they will stomp on all other rights. Guns don’t kill freedom, politicians do.

The facts are clear; when a criminal has to decide to rob the household with the gun or the household without the gun; the choice is clear. Places that have a large number of households with guns are safer places to live. If NYC and Detroit, and LA had right to carry laws, the crime stats would plummet. Well maybe in the beginning there would be a lot more dead criminals laying at the door steps of armed law abiding citizens. But it wouldn’t be long before the criminals would move on to where the laws disarmed law abiding citizens. That’s a fact…

We will never give up our rights to guns. Go ahead; make our day!
