The True Seed of Racism

We all want to associate with people that share our values. It is human instinct, a survival mechanism, and creates for a civil society. The values often include things like religious beliefs, work ethic, educational desires, housing preferences, and economic status. But when people that believe that racism is a motivating factor to the makeup of a neighborhood (like the HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan has proposed), programs like the “Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing” is born.

This program assumes that if a zip code has too many people of one race then it must be the result of racism. When you think about the logic of this type of thought, you can’t find any. I compel you to think about why you live in the neighborhood you do? Is it because you’re racist? Or is it because you wanted a good school for your kids, it has a Church you can attend, maybe a nice shopping area, a short commute to work, open space or in the city, and it is a place you could afford to buy a house.

When the population demographics are simply looked at from a race perspective, how do you evenly distribute a Black population of 13%, Hispanic population of 15%, and the White population at 72% (2010 Census data) throughout the zip codes of America as this plan intends to do? More importantly, why would you think that race is a factor in any of it? This is the true reason why the people in the federal government and the left are so dangerous and it is why racism persists.

By trying to force people to live together by simply looking at race, you stir up resentment between the races. The assumption that race is why people live in a particular neighborhood, and then forcing that neighborhood to make housing exceptions in their neighborhood based on race, is divisive. What I mean by exceptions is the fact that forcing people into a neighborhood without the necessary means to live there undermines the economics of the neighborhood. The people that live in that neighborhood have worked, saved, and sacrificed everything to be able to live there. Now you are going to give it to someone that hasn’t done the same to get there like everyone else regardless of race has had to do? That fosters resentment. Not to mention the fact that they are using the tax dollars they have taken from you to make this possible.

Whenever you undermine the values that it takes to live somewhere, you foster resentment toward the people that receive that handout. Racism is on the rise in America not because we are racist, but because racists are stirring the pot with programs like the “Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing” program. No matter what race a person is, if they can afford a house in the neighborhood on their own merit, they will be accepted into that community in 99% of all of the communities in America. I know the liberals and left that push these programs don’t believe that but the rest of us know it as a fact.

Racism is on the rise in America because we have a President and an administration that believes the answer to “fixing” racism is by being racist. To look exclusively at race to “fix” and “diversify” a neighborhood is to not understand what makes human beings tick. Common values don’t rely exclusively on race. Religious beliefs do not rely exclusively on race. Work Ethic does not rely exclusively on race. Living in a city or suburb does not rely exclusively on race. All of these values are based on individual choices that people make when living their lives. They have nothing to do with race. All races make similar choices when they choose where to live. It is just that race is an easy assumption to make for people that are racist. That is the seed of racism and we need to stop watering it if we want it to die…

Division, Race & “White Guilt”: Obama’s Only Hope…

I have never suffered from “White Guilt”, a disease that festers in so many liberals. It must be my upbringing and the fact I went to school in New York City and was a minority in my school. I spent my HS years in classrooms full of diversity, and as a minority in the classroom, I can empathize with the feelings that come from those situations. But I can also say that every American has an opportunity to succeed if they make good choices.

Too many Black Americans, and too many White Americans, continue to play into the hands of divisive politicians that preach they are there to help, but in fact they have no intention of helping. They are only there for votes. The race industry is a very lucrative industry for both black and white politicians. By dividing the people into racial categories they foster distrust amongst the races. They use fear and envy to keep the races divided for the purpose of staying in power.

President Obama has run a campaign that is designed to divide people by race, gender, and economic status. His only plan for America is taxing the rich as if that is a plan that will solve America’s problems. He is a man that is empty of ideas so he has to use the only strategies left, divide people, and then play on guilt and envy.

The guilt strategy is played out by labeling any criticism of his presidency a reflection of racial hatred of the man. The president’s surrogate’s talk about “code words” like welfare, cutting government programs, and balancing the budget as “evidence” that white people are still racist. These liberals believe most white Americans see everything through the prism of race without providing a shred of evidence. When in fact they are the ones that are perpetuating racial animosity because they feel guilty for being white and that slavery, though repudiated, still makes them feel uncomfortable because slave owners in this country were white. Therefore in their eyes, all whites need to repent for slavery even though the majority of whites never owned or supported slavery. The way to repent is to support the first black man to become president even though this man is a failure.

White Americans have been painted by this president and his supporters as racists for one reason and one reason only; reelection. They are hoping to play on this deep rooted guilt about slavery to garner votes. The American people have moved on from this guilt because America has provided minorities with years and years of government programs designed to help level the playing field. What the president and his supporters in the media don’t realize is the guilt has now given way to a feeling of anger. They are tired and angry at people that call them racist. After all of these years of supporting programs to help poor Americans, that include Black Americans, the American people are now saying it is time to stand on your own. If any person is poor in America today, it is due to a series of poor choices by individuals. Opportunity is available to every American, and individuals need to be held accountable not enabled when they make poor choices. Truly needy people are the exception but generational poverty is no longer a life style most Americans are willing to support.

The envy of success has been an effective strategy of this president to a degree, but again people are smart enough to know that success is what pays for our compassion. Successful people are charitable people, and support the many charities and church programs that help the less fortunate. They also take the risks that create jobs. Jobs are what people want, and successful people are the reason jobs are created, and the candidate that is most trusted to have a plan about jobs will be the winner in this election. The people have seen socialism and know that bringing our people to the lowest common denominator by punishing success has no resemblance to the American Dream.

Dividing people into groups, white guilt and envy is all the president has left. He has no plan for the future to help people make a better life for themselves. He has played all of his cards and the American people are calling the bluff.  There is no place for guilt and envy in America today. We need to come together as one America behind a leader that knows the greatness of America…

The Racial Divide

It saddens me to see how little racial progress we seem to have made since my days in a public High School in the Bronx. I went to John F Kennedy HS in the Bronx (70’s) and learned first-hand that success didn’t depend on the color of your skin but the determination of the individual. That determination comes in the form of first and foremost getting an education. Education is the foundation of a fruitful life.

If you look at the reasons why the Black community is over represented in poverty it can be traced to three basic reasons:

·         The Family

·         Education

·         Self-Reliance

The Black Family has been decimated by the government programs that demand that a mother and father be separated in order to obtain benefits like housing vouchers and food stamps. The welfare system has destroyed the family in general but it has disproportionately destroyed the Black family. The only way to fix the family is to reject government subsidies and embrace the family unit again. Welfare needs to be transformed into a skills building agency with a limited time frame of services. It needs to be phased out for the upcoming generations. The system needs to return to its intended transitional status as a way to help in true times of need. It can no longer be an accepted way of life.

The inner city public school system should be eliminated immediately. The money should be block granted to private groups with a set standard for success. How many generations must be destroyed in the wake of a union jobs program? The only way to break the cycle of poverty is to have an education system that actually educates. We need dedicated people willing to become education entrepreneurs. What do we have to lose by trying? A cushy union gig with out of balance retirement programs is all we have to lose. We have already lost too many children.

People like me who care about the plight of Black America pose a risk when we write about it. In order to fix the problem we must first admit we have a problem. Recently there has been an escalation of hatred toward the “Whities” and capitalist system as the reason for Black poverty. This is dangerous and destined to perpetuate the cycle. If these people were truly concerned about their brethren they would promote capitalism as the way out of poverty. Capitalism has been the only successful economic program in history. Communism and socialism which are being touted by the New Black Panther Party have failed and will fail every time they are tried. The NBP leadership is revving up the masses and playing the class warfare blame game. And the numbers and evidence are not in their favor. I suggest that Black Americans reject this group and join the Tea Party group. At least they will find an ally for success there.

There is too much crime, poverty, single motherhood, and too little hope on the horizon for Black America. We are all Americans in the end and in order to break the cycles of dependency and poverty we have to try something new and it isn’t revolution as is being suggested by NBP leaders. Well it’s a kind of revolution but it is not the violent one they are calling for, it is about placing your hope in people that truly want to help than those that only want to offer handouts for votes…

An Obsession with Race Undermines the Race to the American Dream…

When you are obsessed with race, things can only get worse. The more the president and politicians push programs that favor any group over another you end up with resentment and conflict. Every civilization in history has had groups that have been discriminated against, and enslaved because human nature is what it is and will never change. Our founders knew that through their studies of civilization and political systems, and attempted to do their best constructing a system that focused on individuals and not groups.

Many Americans continue to reference our founders as racist because slavery was accepted in the original draft of the constitution, but anyone that studies the founders understands many of our greatest thinkers knew that our system of government would eventually lead to undermining slavery on principle. At least that was the hope of many. Slavery was not a product of America; slavery was a normal practice in every society including African society where most of our slaves were from. There is still slavery in Africa and other places around the world. But in America it is repulsive to think about or witness slavery today. The concept makes most Americans angry and we would never accept formalized slavery in this country, or would we?

Having grown up in the Bronx NY, I have witnessed another form of slavery and it comes in the form of a government program. Too many Black Americans have been shackled by a promise that government programs are the solution to their deplorable conditions within many of their communities. It started with welfare programs that destroyed the Black family by demanding that there be no father in the household in order to get benefits for the women and children. It continued with housing projects that looked more like jail cells than apartments, and it continues with government education that offers little hope to escape the circumstances many children find themselves born into in the inner cities of America.

It is heartbreaking to see Black males in too many cities standing on corners waiting, for what I don’t know, as life and the American Dream pass them by. And still generation after generation the promises of government enslave them into a cycle of poverty that can only be broken by the will of each individual. Not as a group, but one by one, breaking the cycle and getting out of these communities that have a culture of dependence. Easy to say, what to do?

Stop focusing on race. By focusing on race what we are saying is that the Black community is inferior and can’t lift themselves up by their own bootstraps, and that is absolute garbage. We need to end the education system as we know it and encourage entrepreneurial programs that focus on learning skills that focus on fundamentals and train children to be competitive in the American Dream. It would help if we could have a conversation about this subject without bringing up race, and looking at the fundamental problems within the community just like there are fundamental problems in every community. And they all can be fixed the same way with education and self reliance.

It is sad to watch a president that had a great opportunity to lift all Americans beyond the superficial platitudes of race squander the opportunity by dividing the country through “social equality” programs that have nothing equal about them. Human beings are not equal in outcome. We all have unique skills to offer the world and those skills will garner what the market values them to be. We cannot guarantee equal outcomes and that is what our founders knew. We are all created equal and what we do is a result of what we work toward as individuals. No guarantees of success just the guarantee that in our country if you work hard you have a chance to succeed. As a society that is the best opportunity we can offer everyone equally. To take from one to give to another through some “social justice” philosophy is not justice at all; it is divisive.

That is what we see today. A president and administration that has drifted dangerously away from our founding principles and by doing so is bringing back slavery through the guise of “shared responsibility”. The only shared responsibility we have is to abide by the laws and constitution of this land. That is what will end racism. Otherwise we will continue to resent what one group gets or takes from the others without justification except for the fact that their skin is a different color… That is divisive and will destroy the founding principles that have made this country the beacon for every race, creed, and gender…

Pathetic!

The largest numbers of US troops have been killed in Afghanistan this July and we have a president and VP sitting drinking a beer with a racist Harvard professor and the cop that arrested him. I am outraged and can’t even imagine if my son or daughter was in Afghanistan how I would feel!

This beer bull is a pathetic attempt to again hide this president’s tendency to see this country in the poorest of lights. He has a racial chip on his shoulder and he is doing everything he can to hide it because if Americans start believing he has a chip he is done. He is done because this country has spent 30 years bending over backwards for the Black community and they will not accept responsibility for any more failure.

Obama’s election was supposed to end the racial divide but what it has done is to shine a light on how elitist Black professors and unfortunately our president and his wife see white Americans. He is busy hiding his chip meanwhile there is no Commander in Chief for this country. When is the last time this president has acknowledged the importance of supporting our troop’s efforts to defeat the Taliban? Actually this administration thinks it is a good idea to negotiate with these woman hating thugs. But that is no surprise.

Instead of trying to take over America with his socialist agenda this president needs to abide by his constitutional obligation to lead our troops and protect this country. I don’t know about you but I feel so vulnerable to terrorism with this president in the White House. One attack and this president will be run out of office by a very angry public. This president needs to get his priorities straight and start focusing on his most important role; Commander in Chief. A role that unfortunately highlights what a lightweight this man truly is…

Window into the president's mind…

The president continues to share his thoughts and in turn these thoughts have become a window into what the president truly believes and the way he believes people are prone to act. The most recent comment about doctors choosing to perform a tonsillectomy because the monetary benefits are more attractive than doing what’s right for the patient is what Obama thinks most doctors will do when given that scenario. That may be what he would do but I believe most doctors are more concerned with patient health than the patient billing.

Doctors make a lot of money because they make a huge investment of both money and time before ever making a nickel. People become doctors because they are prone to help people and if they make the huge educational investment they will be duly rewarded for their expertise. Barack Obama believes anyone that makes money is only concerned with money, and he is wrong.

He believes this because he has a chip on his shoulder, has never had to manage a business, and has spent his life hating the system that has made this country the wealthiest and most benevolent in the world. He believes you only get ahead because of who you know, not what you know, again he is wrong. There are millions of successful people that have no connections in the political world and prefer it that way. Obama also sees everything through the prism of race.

Race is a dominant driver of his programs and policies. Look at his latest foray into the white Cambridge police officer and the black Harvard Professor. He believes the Black community has been held down by racism and the larger society, and again he is wrong. The Black community has invested its future in government instead of themselves as individuals, and that is why there is so much poverty still today in the Black community. The Black “leaders” like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakhan, and the president’s personal mentor Reverend Wright, are race baiters that blame everything on white oppression and an unfair system designed to hold back the black community. Wrong.

The president spent a lot of his youth in Kenya and comes from a culture of distrust and political turmoil. He doesn’t even have a true American perspective and he believes that America is a problem, not a solution. He has an outsider’s view of the world. You hear it every time he apologizes for America. As a true American I am insulted every time I hear him do this. I love this country and believe we have been the true source of good in this world, not perfect but the best hope this world has for a stable and successful future.

This president has a hard time saluting troops, dealing with dictators and enemies of our country and life style, hates the constitution, and despises the people’s ability to shut him down. Listen to his words and the examples he uses to justify government intrusion into our lives and you have a window into his mind. A mind that is determined to destroy the greatness of this country and all of the progress we have made between White and Black Americans…

Qualifications for the Supreme Court…

Why does the left believe that diversity on the Supreme Court is important? Because they don’t understand or care about the United States Constitution or the role of the Supreme Court in our government.

What the left cares about is changing our system of government so they can control your life. They don’t believe in your individual rights or true freedom. They hate that you can own a gun and can listen to talk radio. They hate that you can succeed without their help. They are the most racist people in the nation believing Blacks and Hispanics are inferior in intelligence so they shackle them in government programs they call “compassionate”. They hate that you love God and believe there is a creator greater than the men/woman they put their faith in.

That is why they believe putting diversity and ignorance of constitutional law on the Supreme Court is good for this country. Unfortunately most Americans don’t understand the role of the Supreme Court, mostly because the left has ruined the education system which permeates civic ignorance. Sonia Sotomayor is an enemy of the US Constitution. She believes the role of the Supreme Court is to overrule legislative decisions that she or her liberal left don’t like. For example; the people of California have voted twice to define marriage as a union between a man and a woman. The court has overruled the people twice. This is an outrageous abuse of the California courts. Sotomayor believes that is the role of the courts; to decide like a dictator how we run our states. She knows better than you and I; a true elitist.

She believes white males need to be punished and pushed aside for the minorities because white males are bigots, all too powerful, and need to have any achievements they have accomplished taken away because they were earned unfairly. She is a bigot and radical woman that has a mission to ruin men, and our constitution.

She should be defeated, and exposed for what she is; unworthy of a place on any court…
